Direct Mail is one of the most effective ways to reach consumers. In 2013, nearly two-thirds of all consumers purchased something in response to a direct mail piece. Of course many of those consumers are older than 65 years old, so they are prime candidates for direct mail pieces.
Surprisingly, adults between 18-34 are the next highest consumer demographic for direct mail. Younger people are overwhelmed with emails and social media, so direct mail may be more efficient in getting your business noticed.
Since email is the most cost effective form of advertising for a small business, many people simply hit delete from their email boxes. A well designed direct mail piece will stand out from the crowd of bills.
